How a PayPerIntro introduction actually works

From joining the waitlist to a meeting that actually happens, here is the whole path, step by step, with permission checked at every stage and payment only following the result.

Step 1: Join the waitlist

Everything starts with the free waitlist. There is no payment and no card details, because PayPerIntro is running as a reviewed pilot and payments are not active yet. Brands join on one side, introducers on the other, and every signup is read by a person before anything moves.

Joining does not create an active account and it does not guarantee an introduction. It puts you in the pool, with enough context about who you are for a sensible match to be spotted when one comes up.

Step 2: Describe who you want to meet

Brands describe their ideal customer: the kind of company, the roles that matter, and why those people would care. Introducers describe their background and the kinds of companies and people they genuinely know. At this stage it is roles and context first, not names and contact details.

The clearer this picture is, the better the matching works. A vague request gets a vague result. A specific one, a named company and the role you need inside it, gives the review something real to work with.

Step 3: The relationship gets checked

This is the step that separates an introduction from a forwarded contact list. Before anyone is approached, the relationship itself is reviewed: how the introducer actually knows the buyer, how recently they have spoken, and whether any conflict of interest gets in the way.

A social media connection on its own is not proof of a relationship, and it is not treated as one. If the connection is thin, or a conflict shows up, the match stops here, quietly, before it can waste anyone's time or goodwill.

Step 4: The introducer proposes it

If the relationship checks out, the introducer decides whether they are comfortable making the approach. This choice is always theirs. They can decline for any reason at all, a conflict, an employer policy, or simply a feeling that the fit is wrong, and that decision needs no justification.

When they are comfortable, the introducer raises it with the buyer in their own words, as a normal conversation between people who know each other. Nothing scripted, nothing sent in bulk, and your name stays out of it until the buyer is open to hearing more.

Step 5: Everyone agrees before names move

An introduction only goes ahead when all three sides agree to the specific opportunity: the brand, the introducer, and the buyer. Scope and price are agreed at the same point, so there are no surprises later, and the buyer knows a fee is involved. That honesty is deliberate. Nobody should feel tricked into a meeting.

Only after that yes do names and contact details get shared. Permission here is not a general opt in buried in a signup form. It is specific to this opportunity, given by everyone involved, every time.

Step 6: The meeting happens

Then the agreed conversation takes place. This is the result the whole process is priced on: a real meeting, with the right person, who agreed to be there. If the meeting never happens, no introduction fee is owed, and the process can simply try a different route or stop.

Afterwards, both the brand and the introducer confirm that the agreed work was completed. That confirmation is what releases the introducer's share, which keeps everyone honest about what actually occurred.

Step 7: Payment follows the result

Brands pay per meeting held, from $150, capped at $500. The agreed fee is split clearly: 80% to the introducer and 20% to PayPerIntro, before costs and taxes. Introducers receive their share within seven business days after the brand and the introducer both confirm completion.

One honest note to end on. Payment collection and payouts are not active yet, because the pilot is waitlist only while matching is done by hand. The steps above describe exactly how paid introductions will run once payments switch on, and joining the waitlist now is how you are in place when they do.

START WITH WHO YOU WANT TO MEET

Get introduced the warm way.

Brands: join the waitlist and describe who you want to meet. Introducers: join and tell us who you know. Joining is free, and payments and payouts are not active yet.
